Laws of Large Numbers for Exchangeable Random Sets in Kuratowski-Mosco Sense

چکیده
Most of the results for laws of large numbers based on Banach space valued random sets assume that the sets are independent and identically distributed (IID), and compact, in which R̊adström embedding or the refined method for collection of compact and convex subsets of a Banach space plays an important role. In this paper, exchangeability among random sets as a dependency, instead of IID, is assumed in obtaining strong laws of large numbers, since some kind of dependency of random variables may be often required for many statistical analyses. Also, Hausdorff convergence usually used is replaced by another topology, Kuratowski-Mosco convergence. Thus, we prove strong laws of large numbers for exchangeable random sets in Kuratowski-Mosco convergence, without assuming the sets are compact, which is weaker than Hausdorff sense.

Laws of Large Numbers for Random Linear
The computational solution of large scale linear programming problems contains various difficulties. One of the difficulties is to ensure numerical stability. There is another difficulty of a different nature, namely the original data, contains errors as well. In this paper, we show that the effect of the random errors in the original data has a diminishing tendency for the optimal value as the...
متن کاملON THE LAWS OF LARGE NUMBERS FOR DEPENDENT RANDOM VARIABLES
In this paper, we extend and generalize some recent results on the strong laws of large numbers (SLLN) for pairwise independent random variables [3]. No assumption is made concerning the existence of independence among the random variables (henceforth r.v.’s). Also Chandra’s result on Cesàro uniformly integrable r.v.’s is extended.
متن کاملStrong Consistency of Set-Valued Fréchet Sample Means in Metric Spaces
The Fréchet mean generalizes the idea of averaging in spaces where pairwise addition is not well-defined. In general metric spaces, however, the Fréchet sample mean is not a consistent estimator of the theoretical Fréchet mean. For non-trivial examples, sequences of Fréchet sample mean sets may fail to converge in a set-analytical sense. Hence, it becomes necessary to consider other types of co...
متن کاملStrong Law of Large Numbers for Weighted Sum of Exchangeable Random Variables
Special funds project of scientific research in Ankang University, No. AYQDZR200905 Abstract In this paper, the Marcinkiewicz type theorem is extended to the case of exchangeable random variables. As a generalization, we also obtain two strong laws of large numbers on the weighted sum of exchangeable random variables
متن کاملOn the Convergence Rate of the Law of Large Numbers for Sums of Dependent Random Variables
In this paper, we generalize some results of Chandra and Goswami [4] for pairwise negatively dependent random variables (henceforth r.v.’s). Furthermore, we give Baum and Katz’s [1] type results on estimate for the rate of convergence in these laws.
